Additional Information
She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Art Therapy with Minors in Fine Arts and Psychology in 2001 from Seton Hill College before it became an university. Johanna then went on to obtain her Master's Degree in Social Work with specializations in Private Practice and Mental Health from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008.
Johanna has over 24 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and families. She has always provided a safe space to help them with their basic needs, creating positive changes and development, while encouraging positive self- image and self-esteem with all that she had the opportunity to work with along the way. Johanna's experience has been across a variety of settings, which include, foster care, adoption, parenting, family support, in-home services, school based counseling, outpatient therapeutic services and school social work.

Johanna utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy, while meeting the individual where they are in life. Her priority during treatment is to build a positive, trusting relationship where the individual can feel heard, supported and encouraged to explore their personal development. Johanna specializes in using different modalities to meet the needs of her clients, which include, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, Choice Theory, Art Therapy and Play Therapy. She has an innate commitment and ability to helping individuals heal and grow through therapy.
Something interesting about Johanna is that she loves nature and the outdoors. She enjoys gardening, kayaking, camping and being near water while spending time with her family. She grew up in a small town in Indiana County, then moved to Pittsburgh but eventually ended up in the town of Elizabeth Township.
